Living with Fibromyalgia

What is Fibromyalgia

Have you been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, or are you caring for someone with this debilitating condition?

If so, come and join a support group in Sidmouth; share your experiences and find out how to help yourself back to health and to a fulfilling life.

We will spend some time at each meeting to look at:

Nutrition, sleep, lifestyle, exercise.

You will have a chance to try out some of the ideas and share other things you have found helpful.

Each individual is different but this condition is treatable and improvement can be achieved, depending on your situation.

We will also look at other issues regarding a long-term illness:

State Benefits, psychological aspects, getting help when you need it.

The pace and content will be set by the whole group with guidance from Angela.

Refreshments will be available and social activities may evolve as we get to know each other better.

Angela Bea, who will focalize the group, is a qualified nurse, midwife and therapist.

She herself has lived with Fibromyalgia for a number of years and believes passionately that a holistic approach to this condition is the only way forward.

"Illness can become a path of learning for us. We can begin to understand why our bodies behave this way. Through knowledge and understanding we can start to change things ourselves."
